About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Transport Planner to join their team in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and planning skills who thrives in a busy environment.

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning daily activities, liaising closely with drivers and subcontractors, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation that meets customers' requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily transport operations to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and subcontractors to coordinate transport plans.
  • Monitor delivery progress and address any operational issues or delays.
  • Support drivers with route planning, documentation, and day-to-day queries.
  • Provide excellent customer service by keeping clients informed and managing expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities, costs, and performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in transport planning desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Knowledge of UK road transport regulations and geography is advantageous.
