Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a business experienced across decommissioning, waste management, engineering design, R&D, and refurbishment projects. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician on a contract until the end of 2026 for a project at Hunterston nuclear power plant.
The Mechanical Technician role comes with a rate between 34-35 per hour, working CIS Umbrella.
Candidates MUST hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Key skills
- Performing plant operations, installations, assembly, dismantling, and other activities on equipment within the site and workshop environment on general plant and equipment.

Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or relevant courses.
Security Clearances are not required but a valid BPSS & NRS clearances would be an advantage.
