Installation & Commissioning Engineer – Staff – Salary + Benefits – Norfolk – International Travelling Opportunities
Our client is a leading design, build & installation company and they are seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer on a staff basis. You will mainly be based at their facility in Norfolk, but you will also have the opportunity to travel internationally to various customer sites. Necessary training and development will be provided.
Candidates with hands-on experience of various mechanical components such as pneumatics, hydraulics, actuators, mechanical seal, bearings etc would be ideal. The commissioning aspect of the job can be trained.Â
There will be international travel with this role.
Duties:
- Assist in the build of the equipment.
- Pre-commissioning the equipment and rectification of any faults found.
- Supervision of loading and unloading of the equipment.
- Supervision of moving, accurately positioning and fixing equipment.
- Complete electrical and mechanical connections and services (Air, water, electric, drainage and slip).
- Supervision of contractors or customers staff.
- Commissioning of supplied equipment and moulds.
- Equipment, mould and cycle optimisation.
- Overseas travel will be required.
- Preparation and customer handover of O&M manuals with customer training at site.
- Instruct customers in the operation, safety and maintenance.
- Administrative/office duties including customer contact, arranging travel requirements, and report writing.
- Provide on-site technical and remote customer assistance.
Experience & Qualification:
- Qualified in either Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- Ideally experience of installation of machinery, mechanical or electrical components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators etc.
- Able to travel internationally, and work away number of weeks at a time.
