My client is a FCA regulated, B2C, financial Services business focused on Debt. Organic growth see's them recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their wider tech team based in Kent.
The Role
This Infrastructure Operations Team Leader role seeks an individual with a strong operational background, dedicated to maintaining stable IT environments through diligent patching and a broad skillset in servers, Windows, Active Directory, and networking. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence by leading a team to deliver robust and scalable infrastructure, resolve incidents, and continuously innovate services for the business. This includes managing on-premise and cloud-based software and hardware, as well as providing global remote support.
- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, including offshore support.
- Oversee vulnerability, patch, and application management, ensuring service availability.
- Make key decisions on incoming IT work and vet project requirements for infrastructure.
- Manage business risks that could lead to outages or revenue loss, and deliver annual DR testing.
- Adhere to ITIL processes (Change, Problem, Incident) and ensure compliance with audits and IT controls.
- Support 2nd and 3rd-line incidents, provide out-of-hours escalation support, and perform preventative maintenance.
- Coach team members, contribute to infrastructure design, and document processes and standards.
- Prioritize security in all solutions and collaborate with wider teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
Your Profile
To apply for this Kent based role (near Maidstone) it is essential that you have team leadership or management experience alongside exposure to VM-Ware, Veeam and on prem server experience. You will be technical and forward thinking with excellent communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
- £65,000 - £70,000 + overtime and on call (1 in 6)
