I am seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the specialist resource provision on a temporary contract, starting ASAP. This role requires working 32.5 hours per week over 5 days during term time. The school boasts an established specialist resource provision where children achieve highly and make excellent progress.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work across the school, supporting both the specialist resource provision (SRP) and mainstream staff.
- Use creative thinking to support children with personalised resources, helping them learn and gain independence.
- Liaise closely with teachers and other support staff to facilitate effective communication and support for students.
- Engage with various educational activities, adapting to the needs of specific pupils to help them reach their learning and personal targets.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably within a specialist educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on supporting individual student needs.
- Commitment to professional development and a passion for working with children.
