Part-Time Payroll Specialist – Accountancy Practice – Kings Hill, West Malling – £28,000 to £35,000 FTEAre you an experienced Payroll Specialist with a background in public practice? Looking for a part-time role that offers flexibility, autonomy and a professional, friendly team environment?A respected and growing accountancy practice based in Kings Hill, West Malling, is seeking a capable and detail-driven Payroll professional to manage a portfolio of client payrolls. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern firm that values both its people and its clients.?? Location: Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent (on-site/hybrid) ?? Hours: Part-time – 2 to 3 days per week or school hours considered ?? Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 FTE (depending on experience) ?? Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls for a varied client base
  • Process starters, leavers, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.) and auto-enrolment pensions
  • Ensure timely RTI submissions and end-of-year reporting (P60s, P11Ds)
  • Handle client queries and liaise with HMRC on payroll matters
  • Maintain accurate payroll records in line with GDPR and HMRC compliance
  • Provide advice to clients on payroll best practices and legislation updates
? What You’ll Need:
  • Previous experience running payrolls within an accountancy firm
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as BrightPay, Moneysoft, Sage Payroll or Xero Payroll
  • Solid knowledge of UK payroll legislation
  • A proactive, organised approach and high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused attitude
