My client is a FCA regulated, B2C, financial Services business focused on Debt. Organic growth see's them recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their wider tech team based in Kent.
The Role
This role involves managing and delivering technology and services, primarily for UK-based groups, while considering European business needs. It encompasses a range of IT projects from strategic planning to technical support, with elements of both architecture and hands-on infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be an experienced 3rd-level Infrastructure engineer with a strong technical background, capable of designing and implementing solutions, resolving high-level incidents, and troubleshooting backend infrastructure. This requires knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, vitalisation, and security.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead solution design and scoping for infrastructure, technology, and services.
- Ensure service availability, incorporating it into both planning and daily operations.
- Manage vulnerability and patch management, and make decisions on incoming IT work.
- Review and vet all project-related infrastructure, software, and service needs.
- Maintain current infrastructure knowledge while staying abreast of future trends.
- Develop plans to streamline and increase the efficiency of infrastructure systems.
- Standardise infrastructure and services, providing architectural direction.

Your Profile
To apply for this Kent based role (near Maidstone) you will be a 3rd line infrastructure engineer with exposure to VM Ware, Veeam and on prem server experience. You will be technical and forward thinking with excellent communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
- £65,000 - £70,000 + overtime and on call (1 in 6)
