About the Role
A well-established and growing UK-based manufacturer of industrial equipment is seeking a hands-on and experienced Company Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the companys ongoing growth plans and operational excellence.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of this Company Accountant position:

  • Maintain and reconcile the company cashbook

  • Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs for approval

  • Manage credit control, including resolution of outstanding queries

  • Assist with procurement activities and raising of purchase orders

  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries

  • Produce accurate month-end management accounts

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register

  • Monitor and update product costing records

  • Participate in planning and execution of stock counts and valuations

  • Submit quarterly VAT returns

  • Support with additional ad-hoc finance or administrative duties as required

Candidate Profile for this Company Accountant position:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience

  • Proficient in Sage and Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong IT aptitude and willingness to learn new systems quickly

  • Analytical, organised, and capable of working independently

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines

  • Proactive and professional with a positive approach to work
