Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Westbury

Hours Of Work: 37.5 hours a week, over a 3-rotating shift 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am.

Salary: £27,397.53 plus overtime& attendance bonus.

Benefits: Potential to grow and develop within the team, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, Contributory pension scheme.

 

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator role with an established, busy manufacturing business based in Westbury, that offers genuine opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Operating machinery involved in the manufacture of paper products.
  • There are a variety of machines within the department, the successful applicant will be trained on and expected to operate all of them on a rotational basis.
  • Responsible for ordering of and maintain materials.  
  • Product inspection, ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Advise on potential maintenance issues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally the successful candidate will have experience operating machinery in a fast-paced production setting, or of carrying out other work in a similar environment. The successful applicant will be given full training for this role.
  • Able to work in a time critical environment, whilst giving great attention detail and quality.
  • The ability to manage you own workflow, ensuring production demands are met.
  • To work responsibly, within Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Focused on business success, happy to carry out other responsibilities as requested.
  • A minimum of grade C or equivalent in Maths would be preferrable.
