Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Salary: Up to £40,000 + excellent benefits

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive manufacturer that supplies components to several major vehicle brands. The company has a strong reputation for engineering quality and continuous improvement, and they’re now looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team.

• 9-day working fortnight (every other Friday off)

• Factory shutdowns in August (2 weeks) and December (1 week)

This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining quality standards, leading investigations, and ensuring compliance with recognised automotive and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve quality issues using 8D and root cause analysis.

• Support NPI and APQP activities during new process development.

• Lead and support internal and supplier audits.

• Maintain documentation, control plans, PPAPs, and inspection processes.

• Provide production support and liaise with customers and suppliers on quality concerns.

• Coordinate warranty reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality.

• Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and automotive quality tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc.).

• Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing.

• Skilled in CMM use, GD&T, and calibration.

• Audit trained (Lead Auditor preferred).

• Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
