We are working exclusively with a leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Tekla Designer with a strong background in structural steel and architectural metalwork. This role offers the chance to work on complex and high-profile projects across the commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

You'll be responsible for producing detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures. This position suits someone with excellent technical coordination skills and a passion for precision and problem-solving.

As a Tekla Designer, you will:

  • Create accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, GAs, and material lists using Tekla Structures.
  • Apply appropriate steel sections, connections, and fabrication details to meet project requirements.
  • Interpret architectural and structural designs, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project teams.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration and avoid design clashes.
  • Uphold industry standards (BS/EN, CE/UKCA) and participate in internal quality reviews.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to workflow and process improvements.

We are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel detailing using Tekla Structures.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
