Salary: £89- £98 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Weston-super-Mare, supporting with their recruitment for 2 x SEMH Learning Support Assistant / LSA. Based across two campuses, the school caters to children from KS1 – KS4. This nurturing, restorative school aims to provide a nurturing environment where students feel known, accepted and loved. They are currently looking for staff to support on their Secondary campus, based in Weston-super-Mare.

The school is seeking a proactive team player to take on this long-term role, with the potential for this to become a permanent position for the right SEMH Learning Support Assistant / LSA. The successful Learning Support Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The position will involve working with students between Key Stage 1 – Key Stage 4 years with diagnosis of SEMH / Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The successful SEMH Learning Support Assistant / LSA will have:

· Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities

· Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours

· Be available Monday - Friday during term time
