We're teaming up with some incredible Primary and Secondary schools in the Leeds area, and they're searching for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants, just like you!

The schools have full-time (5 days a week) positions offering a truly rewarding opportunity to transform the lives of students with special educational needs.

This school is based is a great rural location and driving is essential with onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in delivering lessons, adapting materials to suit individual learning needs.
  • Support students with behavioural management and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Help create a nurturing and structured learning environment.

The ideal SEN teaching assistant for this role should:

  • Have experience, or a passion for working with students with additional needs, especially Autism.
  • Have knowledge or understanding of how to support children with SEN and SEMH
  • Be flexible, proactive and patient
  • Be nurturing in their approaching and interventions
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Have a Background in Education, Care, Social work, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
