Senior Operations Assistant - About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts and estimates based on sales/marketing data
- Enter sales orders and monitor order fulfilment from HQ (overseas) and local warehouse
- Oversee onboarding of new customers and maintain accurate records
- Handle sales returns and RMA (Return Material Authorisation) processes
- Support logistics-related tasks, including shipment monitoring and delivery coordination
- Act as a key point of contact for customer inquiries. Liaise with other global branch offices and the internal sales team
- Generate monthly reports using the company’s internal system (Skynet)
- Assist with internal control processes
- Report on backorder status, long-sitting stock, and non-EU sales data for accounting
- Coordinate quarterly scrap requests and approvals with HQ
- Track shipments and arrange final delivery logistics
- Communicate shipping updates and pre-alert customers
- Work with HQ logistics to resolve issues
- Process returns for quality issues or incorrect shipments
- Liaise with HQ Quality and teams for return approvals and updates
- Process and monitor purchase orders to and from other company branches
- Arrange internal deliveries as required
- Oversee operations staff during the Part Leader’s absence. Provide support to the Operations Manager as needed
The successful Senior Operations Assistant will have:
- Proven experience in sales operations, logistics, or similar role
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Background in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience with ERP systems and internal reporting tools
- Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Permanent right to work in the UK required
