We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our small, close-knit team in a lovely, homely nursery setting in Weybridge.

Responsibilities Of A Nursery Manager:

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient running at all times

  • Providing hands-on leadership to a small, committed team—offering guidance, mentoring and support to help them flourish professionally and emotionally

  • Upholding and exceeding EYFS standards, safeguarding requirements, and all relevant health & safety and regulatory guidelines

  • Managing staff rotas and performance reviews, ensuring the team is supported, well-staffed and aligned with the nursery’s values

  • Creating and maintaining a positive working culture, where communication, wellbeing and teamwork are prioritised

  • Building trusting relationships with families, ensuring they feel informed, supported and welcome at all times

  • Driving high standards in planning and delivering rich, child-centred learning experiences, encouraging curiosity, creativity and confidence in every child

  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, whether through training, resources, or new ideas that benefit the nursery and the team

Requirements Of A Nursery Manager:

  • Proven experience in managing a nursery
  • A qualified early years professional (Level 3 or above)

  • Strong understanding of early years curriculum and best practices in childcare

  • Ability to create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with parents, staff, and the wider community

  • Someone who values a home-from-home atmosphere and child-centred care

  • A team player with strong leadership and organisational skills

  • A kind, confident communicator who leads with empathy and integrity
