Position: Air Freight Operator
High-Growth Start-Up Freight Forwarder
Location: Weybridge, Surrey |
Salary: Up to 40,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high-performing start-up freight forwarding business that is already exceeding expectations. Despite being newly established, the company has secured long-term clients and consistent business, and is now looking to hire its first operational team member.
This is a pivotal role within the business, offering genuine long-term progression and the chance to help shape operations as the company continues to grow.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end air freight operations, with a strong focus on exports. This is a hands-on position where you will play a key role in day-to-day operations and support the wider commercial growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing full end-to-end air export operations
- Completing customs entries via CDS
- Handling documentation, bookings, and liaison with airlines, agents, and clients
- Supporting air imports where required
- Delivering a high level of customer service to established, long-term clients
- Getting involved in commercial and business development activities as the company grows
About You
- Proven experience in air freight exports (essential)
- Import experience is desirable
- Confident completing customs entries via CDS
- An all-round freight professional who is adaptable and proactive
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment with responsibility and autonomy
- Ambitious, with a desire to grow alongside the business
