Role - Buyer / Senior Buyer
Location - Weybridge
Type - 12 Month FTC (fixed term contract)
Salary - £40,000-£43,000 + benefits
Key responsibilities of the Buyer / Senior Buyer role will include not be limited to:
- Ensure category (sub-categories) strategy is aligned and deployed alongside group procurement policy and procedures
- Supplier RFx initiation, execution and management
- Lead supplier negotiations and drive the best cost sourcing outcomes
- Initiate and drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards
- Drive supplier performance improvement in key areas of cost, delivery, quality and ideation
- Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential disruption in the supply chain
- Supplier spend management & Supplier contract management
- Supplier performance and relationship management
- Weekly report on key procurement projects to procurement Head of Group
Key skills and experience required for Buyer / Senior Buyer and not limited to:
- Proven experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer
- Familiarity with ERP/enterprise management systems
- Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel Application
- Understanding of MRP systems and their practical applications.
