The Role
Key Responsibilities

Develop electromechanical automation and robotic handling systems for manufacturing, inspection, and assembly applications.

Generate and document concept designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design quality and best practice.

Produce clear and accurate technical documentation including operator manuals, test reports, and requirements specifications.

Carry designs through to testing and commissioning, identifying issues early and proposing effective solutions.

Support the sales engineering team with proposal development, including client site visits to assess processes and project feasibility.s

Participate in research and development activities, contributing to continuous improvement and internal innovation projects.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
-
Proven experience taking designs from concept through to commissioning.
-
Skilled in defining system-level requirements and applying structured design processes.
-
Strong background in technical documentation, including manuals, test reports, and specifications.

Experience conducting qualification and acceptance testing for systems and components.
-
Practical understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
Desirable:

Experience with 2D/3D vision systems or robotic automation.

Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD.

Knowledge of PLC control systems or C# software control.

Understanding of electrical control systems.

Experience with composite manufacturing (e.g., carbon fibre).

Knowledge of ISO standards and documentation control.

Ability to make accurate material and time estimates during project development
