Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for two part-time education roles (10 hours/week each) in the DT4 area, supporting secondary-aged learners with GCSE Maths and English.
These opportunities are ideal for education professionals with experience working with learners who have SEN and SEMH needs, and who are confident in adapting learning to suit individual needs. Both learners have EHCPs, and specific ages will be confirmed shortly.

As a Tutor, you will:
- Deliver tailored Maths and English sessions to secondary-aged learners with EHCPs. These learners are not currently working at ARE, so being able to adapt learning content is crucial.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of learners with SEN and SEMH.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and learner achievements.
About You:
- You have experience supporting learners with SEN and/or SEMH needs, ideally within a secondary education setting.
- You're confident in delivering GCSE-level Maths or English content in a way that's engaging and accessible.
- You're skilled at adapting learning approaches to suit individual needs and learning styles.
- You're patient, empathetic, and committed to helping young people thrive.
- You're organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
- You're passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful impact.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Experience of working with learners with SEN

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
