Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

What roles are available?

Mentoring: Sessions are to build confidence, self-esteem and teach life skills that they may never have had the privilege of learning. It is introducing a positive adult role model into a child's or young person's life, and it can include going out for walks for their mental health, cooking, playing games, taking them out to places that interest them and how to effectively go out into the world with confidence. It is providing the support and knowledge to help a child or young person become a well-rounded individual. Tutoring: Providing bespoke 1:1 tuition in the family home and/or community to young people with SEN, complex health and behavioural needs. As a tutor with Prospero Teaching, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly; you can build a rota that suits you, whilst also having the amazing opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of the children and young people. Tutoring will usually be for core subjects (English and Math's). You will need to be able to complete a baseline assessment, and lesson plan independently.

Requirements:

  • You need to have at least 1 years' previous experience teaching/supporting young people in a UK educational setting and be able to provide references to support this.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
