Receptionist/Administrator,

Located: Whitehaven, on site

£13.98- £14.80 per hour depending on experience

We are looking for a temporary candidate to work for our client based in Whitehaven. The role is a fixed term position till the end of May 2026, working 35 hours a week over Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 16.30pm or 9.00am -17.00pm. The role is to commence on Monday 16th June 2025.

Duties

  • Meeting, greeting staff & visitors been the first point of contact providing a welcoming & professional service.
  • Answer telephone calls, transfer calls and take messages.
  • Deal proactively with enquiries received into shared inboxes responding in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Update Reception noticeboards, signage and user guides.
  • To work as part of an administration team supporting all aspects of administrative duties
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and parcels
  • Monitor stationery, kitchen and office supplies and raise requisitions as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels,
  • Raise purchase requisitions as required by Operational and Management teams,
  • Provide word processing support for documents, letters, reports, presentations,
  • Maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper systems
  • Ensure administrative processes around new staff and inductions
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of events, visits and conferences,
  • Minute taking, managing a schedule of speakers and presenters, and preparing agendas for regular team research meetings,

Experience required

  • Recent administration experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer skills in MS Applications
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
