We are working exclusively with a leading engineering and facilities services provider to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their night-shift team on a major client site. This role is perfect for a hands-on electrical engineer with strong fault-finding capabilities and experience working across building services, plant equipment, and production environments.
You will work as part of a small night team, delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive support to ensure the site operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative electrical maintenance across building systems, plant, and production equipment.

Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs.

Work safely and compliantly by following all Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

Support mechanical and general maintenance tasks when required as part of a multiskilled team.

Maintain accurate logbooks, shift handover notes, and client reporting systems.

Build strong working relationships with both client and contractor teams.

Identify, report, and help mitigate any potential hazards on-site.

Flexibility to support overtime when business needs require it.
Person Specification
Essential:

Strong electrical maintenance experience (PPM and reactive).

Confident in electrical fault-finding across plant, machinery, and building services.

Good spoken and written English, with solid maths and IT ability.

Full UK driving licence.

Strong understanding of electrical safety and general H&S requirements.

Ability to work independently on nights while still functioning effectively as part of a small team.

Calm under pressure, well organised, and able to prioritise multiple tasks.

Comfortable working at height.
Desirable:

Experience in multiskilled disciplines (mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, carpentry, etc.).

Experience with cranes or production machinery.

IPAF, Legionella Awareness, or formal H&S training.

Interest and willingness to expand technical knowledge and learn new systems.
