Quality Supervisor

Our client is a Kent-based manufacturing company with a worldwide customer base and a reputation for high-quality products used in harsh environments. Operating in competitive markets, they are committed to continuous improvement and are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to lead their quality initiatives.
You’ll oversee goods-inwards inspection, process control, and data analysis, driving improvements across production. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-based role requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.
Responsibilities include:
- Reducing variation through process control and quality plans
- Goods-in inspection
- Developing and maintaining quality control procedures
- Conducting audits to ensure compliance
- Analysing data to identify root causes
- Collaborating with sales to resolve customer issues
- Implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Maintaining accurate quality records
- Ensuring calibration of quality control equipment
- Leading continuous improvement projects
- Reporting on quality performance
Candidate requirements:
- BTec or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in manufacturing quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with quality control tools/software
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Root cause analysis expertise
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Knowledge of plastic moulding, press tool work, machining, and assembly operations is advantageous.
