- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design, material selection, and testing methods.
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex engineering challenges.
- Create quotes for NPIS and report on progress, including component cost, labour and overhead, plating, and NRE.
- Responsibility for configuration control for drawings, manufacturing documentation and ERP.
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on new product development in a customer-facing role
- Hands-on CAD experience creating models and drawings to British standards (e.g. BS standards) with consideration given to design for manufacturing, tolerances and machining
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Experience working across the NPI lifecycle from concept through to delivery
- Role: Senior Mechanical Design/Development Engineer
- Salary: Circa £50,000
