Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm

Purpose of the Role:
Our client, a leading provider of housing solutions, is seeking a Support Worker Team to oversee the Support Worker Team, ensuring high-quality support for care leavers and unaccompanied young people transitioning to independent living.

The manager provides guidance to staff, monitors care plans, sets Key Performance Objectives (KPOs), and ensures compliance with relevant legislation and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prioritise tasks to complete 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and care plan monitoring.
  • Manage and support a team of Support Workers across Kent, ensuring productivity and quality.
  • Meet personal and team Key Performance Objectives in line with contractual and Ofsted standards.
  • Monitor staff performance, address issues such as absence or capability, and provide field cover as needed.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities, NHS, Police, and other agencies.
  • Ensure staff training and development align with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Support young people transitioning to independent living, including life skills development.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date care plans and service records.
  • Promote safeguarding and respond to concerns in accordance with company policy.
  • Participate in service improvement activities and team meetings.
  • Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Leadership & Team Management Ability to lead, support, and manage staff performance effectively.
  • Safeguarding & Compliance Knowledge Solid understanding of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation.
  • Strong Communication Clear and professional communication with young people, staff, and external agencies.
  • Organisational Skills Efficient planning, time management, and ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Confidence in handling complex issues and making sound decisions.
  • Relationship Building Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse individuals and partners.
  • IT & Record-Keeping Competent in using digital systems for documentation and reporting.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility Able to respond to emergencies, cover shifts, and adjust to service needs.
