Job Title: Field Service Team Leader
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £48,000 + Company Van
Hours: Monday – Friday, Days
We’re looking for a Field Service Team Leader to take charge of a small team of engineers while still being hands-on yourself. The role is a mix of site-based work and travelling locally to food manufacturing sites, working on a wide range of machinery – from older kit that needs regular servicing to new installs being fitted into factories.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and support a team of Field Service Engineers on servicing, repairs, and installs.
- Stay hands-on with mechanical and electrical work on food machinery (both old and new).
- Carry out repairs, routine maintenance, and full installations into client factories.
- Plan and organise work schedules to keep everything running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and guide the team to get jobs sorted quickly.
- Build strong client relationships – be the Field Service Team Leader they know they can rely on.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background as a Maintenance Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
- Experience leading or mentoring others, or ready to step into leadership.
- Practical problem solver who can make quick decisions on site.
- Able to balance working on the tools with organising your team.
- Flexible to travel across the local area as a Field Service Team Leader.
