This role is Hybrid working. You must live within a commuting distance of Purley, Surrey.

My Client is a rapidly growing business bringing digital technology to the global insurance marketplace. Their technology is deployed in some of the worlds leading insurers globally including UK, USA Europe, etc providing clients with enhanced customer service and productivity. My client is once again expanding rapidly.

They seek an experienced, professional and well organised Finance Director to play a critical role in steering the financial direction and health of the business.

Responsibilities and details.

Financial Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Provide advice to the Board of Directors and other senior management on both financial and business issues related to the overall performance of individual operating companies within the group.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company’s business.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning process.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and guide business performance.
  • Identify and report on key financial and non-financial performance indicators to drive business improvement.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls and systems for cash management, risk management, and financial reporting.

Accounting and Reporting:

  • Preparation of group accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial and management reporting for the Board, funding bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors.

Tax and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements for financial and tax reporting.
  • Oversee tax planning to optimise the company’s tax position.

Involvement in Agreements with Customers and generally:

  • Be able to understand contractual implications and their financial impact.
  • Participate in contractual negotiations.
  • Direct involvement with billing and billing strategies.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Ensure a high level of team engagement and capability.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with banks, investors, and other financial partners with participation in the presentation of slides with particular emphasis on financial information both historic and planned.
  • Provide financial insights and reports to the Board of Directors.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, manage, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Develop and oversee corporate governance and internal control processes.
