CNC Miller Team Leader - Wickford - Automotive Engineering - Up to 21.60ph+ Overtime
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive component manufacturer based in Wickford, currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Team Leader to take charge of their precision machining department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist with leadership experience to step into a hands-on role that combines technical ability with team management. You'll be working in a modern, fast-paced environment producing high-quality components for the automotive sector.
The Role:
Leading a small team of CNC Millers on the shop floor
Setting and operating CNC milling machines (Fanuc or similar controls)
Allocating workloads, overseeing productivity, and ensuring quality standards
Assisting with programming, tool changes, and setups as needed
Training and supporting less experienced team members
Monitoring job progress and reporting to senior management
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:15pm
Regular overtime available
What We're Looking For:
Proven CNC milling experience, ideally in an automotive or precision engineering environment
Experience leading or supervising a team
Confident with machine setups and basic programming
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and quality processes
Organised, proactive, and quality-driven approach
