Manual Turner Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in operating manual lathes, with hands-on experience in precision machining.
  • Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Capable of working independently, while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Experienced in cutting, grinding, and drilling various materials to specification.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures, including company standards and process documentation.
  • Diligent in recording production data, as well as logging equipment issues, adjustments, and any required maintenance.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Ensure machines are adequately stocked with tools and materials to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, creating a secure environment for yourself and colleagues.
Manual Turner Requirements:
  • Proven experience working to high-quality standards, particularly on precision-engineered components.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Solid grasp of general engineering practices, including accurate measuring, marking out, manual drilling, tapping, basic fabrication setup, and tacking.
  • Desirable: Exposure to or experience operating CNC machinery is a strong advantage.
