On behalf of our client, a leading national distributor of screws, we are recruiting for a temporary Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team in Essex.
This is a dual-role position where you will primarily work within the Goods-In & Stock Control teams operating a Counterbalance forklift, while also stepping in as a Van Driver for multi-drop deliveries across Essex, East London, South West London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and surrounding areas.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
- Multi-drop deliveries to trade customers
- Conducting vehicle safety checks and reporting issues
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Using delivery apps and mobile devices for PODs and updates
- Providing excellent customer service on delivery routes
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift (RTITB accredited)
- Replenishing and rotating stock
- Accurate checking in and out of deliveries
- Maintaining a tidy, safe, and efficient warehouse
- Assisting with stock takes and inter-departmental stock movements
- Manual handling and lifting boxes up to 25kg
- Supporting other departments and sites when required
The hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
