- Conduct first-off inspections of machined components and complex assemblies, ensuring full compliance with engineering drawings and CAD data.
- Perform final inspections, completing AS9100-compliant First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and accurately documenting product conformity.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality assurance procedures, applying them consistently across inspection and manufacturing operations.
- Identify and document non-conforming products in accordance with both internal procedures and specific customer requirements.
- Ensure all inspection tools and gauges used as acceptance media are correctly calibrated and maintained, following internal and customer-defined standards.
- Strong understanding of machined part inspection, utilising a wide range of techniques including CMM, vision CMM, shadow graphs, and other precision measurement tools.
- Solid working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and a clear understanding of ISO 9001 quality requirements.
- Ideally experienced with PC-DMIS and/or Zeiss Calypso software for both online and offline CMM programming and inspection.
- Hands-on machining environment experience is highly desirable, particularly with materials such as aluminium alloys, steels, and titanium.
