Workshop Technician

Location: Wickford, Essex
Salary: £41,000 + Quarterly Bonus

Neos Engineering are partnered with a leading UK provider of repair, maintenance, and fleet management services supporting major national infrastructure clients. Due to continued growth and new contract wins, they’re seeking a Workshop Technician to join their expanding team in Essex.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, and maintenance across a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Working within a well-equipped workshop, you’ll:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately.

  • Communicate repair needs with the admin team and customers.

  • Service and replace key components including brakes, filters, suspension, and clutches.

  • Fit and install vehicle accessories such as cameras, sensors, and towbars.

  • Carry out safety checks, road tests, and quality inspections.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment, occasionally supporting off-site work.

The Candidate

The ideal applicant will be a skilled and motivated technician with a strong eye for detail and a customer-focused attitude. You’ll ideally possess:

  • IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent experience).

  • A hands-on, proactive approach to servicing and repair work.

  • Your own basic tool kit (specialist tools provided).

  • A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

    • £500 per person per quarter when targets are met.

    • £750 per person per quarter for exceeding targets.
