Design Engineer Role Overview:
We're seeking a Design Engineer to customise and adapt product designs to meet customer specifications. You'll support sales order fulfilment, manage engineering changes, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The role involves working cross-functionally to improve design efficiency and product quality.
Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
Modify existing designs based on customer requirements
Create and update 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings
Lead and implement ECNs/ECCs with accurate documentation
Maintain compliance with CE, UKCA, ATEX, ISO 9001, and other directives
Participate in design reviews, failure analysis, and process improvements
Liaise with sales, production, quality, and procurement teams
Occasional UK and international travel for technical support
Design Engineer Key Requirements:
2-3 years in a design engineering role
Proficient in CAD software
Strong technical drawing interpretation
Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Project management certification
