Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing business based in Widnes to recruit a technical Finance Manager. Reporting to the MD this is a key leadership role overseeing all financial operations and business partnering across the group.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity offering growth and solid career progression for an ambitious and driven qualified accountant.

Alongside the daily financial operations, you will be involved with controls and integration projects, systems implementation and mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of management accounts and financial controls
  • Lead credit control and accounts payable functions
  • Manage a team of 2 clerks and 1 management accountant
  • Act as the main point of contact for all financial queries across the business
  • Partner with all departments to support financial decision-making
  • Liaise with central finance to ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Oversee financial aspects of the ERP system
  • Manage payroll, VAT returns, financial analysis, and forecasting
  • Lead and develop the finance team

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • A strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and within a team
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, and performance-driven
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
