Operations Co-ordinator: Waste Industry

Widnes based.

Immediate start essential.

Temporary role at present.

£13.00 per hour


Job Role: 

 A co-ordinator who will be working directly with drivers in arranging their daily collection rounds.

Need to be computer literate with strong organisational, communication and numerical skills.

Having a good geographical knowledge of the UK would be advantageous. 

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.


Key Responsibilities:
• Handle all telephone calls - so excellent communications skills are a must.
• Manning electronic gates with intercom and barrier
• Booking all onsite visitors in / out: recording vehicle registrations, tanker details, company details etc.
• Scheduling and allocating the day to day collection rounds to the drivers (drivers packs, spreadsheet etc)
• Arranging floats for drivers to cover their daily collection rounds and balancing the cash flow thereafter
• Inputting daily collections on the system (weighbridge tickets and waste transfer notes)
• Arranging quarterly payments for suppliers on account
• Scanning and sending through paperwork to suppliers
• General filing of supplier’s paperwork, delivery notes, invoices etc.
• Identifying and capturing potential customers through various channels to grow the company's customer base.
• Assisting in other departments as and when required as and when to assist in other departments

Office hours:Monday to Friday

09:00- 17:00hrs 

0.5hr lunch break.

The role may require flexibility from time to time.

Authorised overtime will be paid.
