About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy manufacturing site in Widnes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond quickly and safely to equipment and facility breakdowns
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, including TPM activities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems
  • Perform electrical installations in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition)
  • Maintain site utilities, workshop equipment, and general facilities
  • Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Accurately document all maintenance and compliance activities
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • 18th Edition BS 7671 certification (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with CNC machines (e.g., Mazak, Hardinge, DMG), pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • TIG welding and fabrication skills (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
  • A proactive, safety-conscious approach with strong teamwork and communication skills
