Learning Support Officer - Animal Care (Part-Time, Temporary)

Location: Widnes
Hours: Part-time (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
Contract: Temporary
Rate: 18 per hour

Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Officer to join the Animal Care team within a leading FE College in Widnes on a temporary, part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the learning experience of our students studying Animal Care and related programmes.

You will provide tailored support to learners with a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both in the classroom and during practical sessions. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll ensure that students are fully included, engaged, and confident in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students studying Animal Care courses.
* Assist learners with their coursework, practical activities, and assessments.
* Support students in developing independent learning, study, and employability skills.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with tutors and the Learning Support Team to meet individual learner needs.
* Maintain accurate records of support provided and student progress.

About You
You'll be a patient, caring, and proactive individual with a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Ideally, you'll have experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or care setting, and an understanding of the needs of learners with additional support requirements.

Experience or interest in Animal Care or related vocational subjects is desirable.

* A flexible, team-oriented approach.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
A Current DBS is also needed for this role. If you do not have a current DBS, Eden Brown can apply for one on your behalf.
