What You'll Do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding promptly to machine breakdowns in the engineering workshop.
  • Conducting preventive and predictive maintenance, including TPM activities.
  • Performing electrical installations and repairs in compliance with BS 7671 standards.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Maintaining workshop equipment, utilities, and general facilities.
  • Collaborating with contractors and equipment suppliers to ensure optimal performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide rapid and safe responses to equipment and facility breakdowns.
  • Document all maintenance and compliance activities accurately.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and EHS best practises.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant maintenance environment.

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Current 18th Edition BS 7671 certification (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with CNC equipment, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • TIG welding and light fabrication capabilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • 38 hours a week (Monday - Thursday 8.15am - 4.45 and Friday 8.15am - 3.30pm with 45-minute lunch)
