Newly created Financial Controller opportunity with a well-established Business Services SME on the outskirts of Wigan. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance in a role created to meet business demand through rapid business growth on the back of a recent MBO and expansion into new areas, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Draft Statutory Accounts for 3 companies within the group
  • Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Liaison with auditor to produce audited statutory accounts.
  • Provision of payroll information to external payroll bureau
  • Managing a small credit control and purchase ledger team
  • Assistance regarding production of corporation tax returns.
  • Supporting the development of financial controls and processes
  • Supporting with the implementation of a new accounting system
  • Cashflow Management

Applicants will ideally be ACCA/ACA or CIMA qualified woth previous exprience in a simialr profile role. Salary £45-55k with benefits including 5% pension, 25 days holidays, health plan and a 37.5hr week, office based with flexibility around start/end times.
