Your Role: Part Qualified Accountant

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Part Qualified Accountant to join our team in Wigan. In this full-time, permanent position, you will work closely with our Accounts Managers, playing a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial success. You'll enjoy a flexible working week of 37.5 hours between 8 am and 6 pm, bringing your proactive spirit and strong collaborative skills to every task.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 101, FRS 102, and SORP 102.
  • Assist the accounts team from planning to completion on various accounts.
  • Identify and handle accounting matters, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Compile management accounts from incomplete records.
  • Manage client relationships and respond to queries professionally.
  • Utilize Excel to present and analyze key financial information.
  • Ensure client files are current with all new and significant changes.
  • Conduct corporate and personal tax compliance work and plan taxes as appropriate.
  • Draft external correspondence to clients, HMRC, and other statutory bodies.
  • Work on VAT returns, bank reconciliations, P11D, and various other ad hoc tasks.

What Were Looking For

  • Current ACA/ACCA qualification studies with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based software such as and Sage is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel.
