About the Role

Were looking for an experienced and motivated Regional Development Nurse (RGN) to support two care homes in the Wigan and Blackburn areas. In this key role, youll help maintain and improve clinical standards, support staff development, and ensure the highest quality of care for residents.

Youll be part of a respected group of care homes known for its person-centred approach and commitment to delivering outstanding care for older adults. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to work closely with home managers and senior clinical teams to make a real difference.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead on clinical governance and ensure high standards of care are met across both homes.
  • Review monthly performance and quality data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support home managers and clinical teams with training, mentoring, and development.
  • Assist with recruiting senior clinical staff and carrying out clinical investigations when needed.
  • Work alongside the Regional Director and other key team members to implement positive changes.
  • Travel regularly between sites as part of your regional responsibilities.

What Were Looking For

  • A qualified Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration.
  • Experience working in a care home setting, with strong clinical leadership skills.
  • A confident mentor, particularly with newly-qualified nurses.
  • A good understanding of current care regulations and a commitment to best practices.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to travel between homes.
