- We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our facilities management team in Wigan, focusing on minimizing accident risks and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- This permanent position offers a salary of approximately £45,000 to £47,000, along with a car allowance of £6,000 to £7,000.
- The role requires a NEBOSH Certificate and previous experience in health and safety oversight, with a focus on training and auditing.
- Candidates must possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel to various client sites across the North.
- We welcome applications from both experienced Health and Safety Advisors and recent graduates, as training and mentoring will be provided.
The position is a Permanent role paying circa 45k-47k plus c6-7k car allowance. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week.
Based out of the North West Office in Wigan with travel to various facilities and some hybrid working options.
Health & Safety Advisor Description:
Provide advice and oversight relating on-site Health & Safety processes and procedures
Ensure H&S compliance across the maintenance and facilities operation within the estates
Ensure up to date code of practice across the department
Orgnaise staff training
Ensure quality is maintained across the internal processes and associated record keeping
Audit and develop risk assessments and RA recording
Audit and manage environmental waste processes and practices within the facility
Sites include rail, prisons, commercial, healthcare & educational etc.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have an excellent understanding of Facilities Management, hold a NEBOSH Certificate
A valid UK driving license
Previous experience in H&S process oversight and auditing plus a focus on training
Able to pass background checks
Willing to travel to various client sites across the North
Have previous experience working as a H&S Advisor (assistant/graduate H&S professionals welcome to apply as training and mentoring available)
