ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Description

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your electrical and mechanical maintenance skills within a well-established FMCG manufacturing facility based near Wigan. You will be integral to maintaining high levels of operational uptime and safety, contributing directly to the company's success. Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, where your expertise will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of critical manufacturing electrical systems. As a vital member of the maintenance team, you will:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in automated production equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to understand and resolve complex issues involving electrical and mechanical components.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment reliability and production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of electrical principles aligned with a solid mechanical awareness.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Relevant electrical maintenance qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Electrical or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems effectively.
  • Good communication skills to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety and problem-solving.
