We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager for one of the world’s largest Logistics/Supply Chain businesses (£1.5BN t/o FTSE 100 PLC with 20,000 employees across 130 global locations). Joining as Finance Manager for one of their premier customer sites in the Wigan area you will report to the Commercial FC with a remit including:

  • Weekly P&L preparation and reporting to Group and Open Book reporting to the Customer.
  • Business partnering with the site senior leadership team - General Manager, Assistant GM, Head of Supply Chain, HSE Manager, Stock Manager and HR Manager.
  • Assisting with annual budget preparation.
  • Financial modelling to support business cases and new business bids.
  • Continually tracking performance against forecasts - reporting with narrative on any financial or operational variances.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Customer.
  • Developing strong commercial awareness with non-finance budget holders to deliver an understanding of the budget and key cost drivers.
  • Reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators to support service delivery and contractual commitments.
  • Ensuring adherence to contractual commitments and deliverables.
  • Actively participating in regular team and site meetings.

Applicants will ideally be fully qualified finance professionals (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) although non-qualified applicants with the relevant skills and expertise as well as Warehousing & Logistics sector experience will also be considered. Salary to £55k with benefits including pension, 25 days holidays, on-site parking, 25 days holiday, 37.5 hour week (flexitime) and hybrid working - 3:2 or 2:3 Office:Home split.
