KPI Recruiting are delighted to support this client, a well-established and innovative manufacturer, in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing engineering team during an exciting period of investment and improvement across their automated manufacturing facility. If you are a time-served engineer looking for variety, ownership, and long-term development, this role offers exactly that.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently across a wide range of automated machinery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing machinery across sewing, conversion and high-speed packaging lines

  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation control systems

  • Working with PLCs, robotics, and servo-driven equipment

  • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and inspections

  • Supporting continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and quality initiatives

  • Maintaining high workshop and housekeeping standards

  • Building strong knowledge of plant, equipment, and on-site processes

You'll report directly to the Engineering Manager, with additional exposure to the Managing Director-ideal for someone who wants visibility and impact.

About You

We're looking for an engineer who brings a hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach. You will have:

  • Time-served apprenticeship + City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong fault-finding experience across mechanical, electrical, and control systems

  • The ability to go online with PLCs and diagnose issues

  • Experience in a fast-paced production or FMCG environment

  • Clear understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and control systems

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety

Salary & Benefits
  • £48,000.00 per annum (including shift allowance)

  • Salary review available depending on experience and performance

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday rotating:

    • 06:00-14:00
