Tradewind are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Wigan, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. About the Role:

As an SEMH Teacher, you'll deliver creative, engaging lessons that inspire and motivate learners who may have faced significant barriers to education. You'll play a crucial role in helping students develop not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Build strong, positive relationships that encourage trust and engagement.
  • Implement effective strategies for managing behaviour and promoting emotional wellbeing.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure a joined-up approach.

What We're Looking For:

  • QTS/QTLS or significant experience working in an SEN/SEMH or alternative provision.
  • A trauma-informed, nurturing approach to teaching and behaviour support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, resilient attitude and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
