We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wigan that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and well-being within a supportive school community.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide tailored support to individual pupils, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences across the curriculum.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support pupil progress.

  • Assist in preparing and adapting resources for lessons.

  • Support children with additional needs to ensure inclusion and engagement.

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development.

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.



Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
