We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wigan that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and well-being within a supportive school community.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide tailored support to individual pupils, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences across the curriculum.
Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support pupil progress.
Assist in preparing and adapting resources for lessons.
Support children with additional needs to ensure inclusion and engagement.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
