A leading distributor of within their field is seeking a Dispatch Administrator to join their dynamic warehouse team in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy distribution centre.

Job Overview

As a Dispatch Administrator, you will be based at the dispatch desk within the warehouse, overseeing daily operations and supporting the team to ensure efficient order processing and shipment.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Expected Hours: 39 per week (early finish on a Friday!)

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocate orders to warehouse team
  • Use the in-house system to resolve picking and packing issues
  • Maintain strong system control and report adjustments accurately
  • Manage courier and customer communication via various portals
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline operations
  • Oversee 3 party portals for inbound and outbound activity
  • Maintain and update warehouse KPI reports
  • Monitor shipment status and address any delays or issues
  • Support management with additional tasks as required
Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Experience working in a similar role/environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous administrative or operational experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Quick learner with strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
