Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £48,000 + OTEÂ
Shift: Monday to Friday – 3 Shift Pattern (Early, Lates and Nights)
Location: Wigan
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong mechanical bias to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on high-speed production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Work closely with the production team to optimise machine performance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Mechanical bias with strong hands-on maintenance skills.
- Apprentice trained or a minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors is desirable.
