Are you a Purchaser / Buyer from a Manufacturing or Construction background looking for full autonomy to take the reins and steer a £25 million procurement budget for a Manufacturing industry leader, offering a 4-day week?

As the Senior Buyer you will be responsible for managing a significant procurement budget and stocks, where you will be instrumental in managing procurement activities and ensuring the smooth operation of purchasing processes. Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring their performance and address any issues that may arise.

The Role:

  • Procurement Management:Oversee purchasing activities with an annual budget of £25 million and stock values between £3-4 million.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and supply reliability.
  • Inventory and Stock Control:Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock control and oversee an integrated warehouse system.
  • Strategic Buying:Strategically manage buying processes to support production and new product development initiatives.
  • Reporting and Analysis:Generate and manage procurement reports, providing insights that drive business decisions.

The Person:

  • Experienced in purchasing within the Manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks, including inventory control and supplier negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of MRP & ERP systems, capable of optimizing procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
